Fourth ibis Styles hotel opens at ExCeL Arena site

The fourth ibis Styles hotel in the UK has opened its doors after refurbishment.

Located at the London ExCeL Conference Centre in the Docklands area of London, the new hotel boasts a wealth of transport links – within a mile of London City Airport and close to both the o2 Arena and Olympic Park.

Marking the fourth hotel in Accor’s family hotel network, the hotel offers residents 302 bedrooms each featuring a work desk, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a shower room. The hotel has four separate dining spaces and the Capstan Conference Centre with four meeting spaces for up to 150 people and is part of the rebranded All Seasons hotel network.

Thomas Dubaere, managing director of Accor UK and Ireland, said: “As the world’s leading hotel operator, we are always looking for opportunities to expand with franchise partners.

“This hotel is in a great location in the upcoming east end of London, which has benefitted enormously from the Olympics. An ibis Styles offers creativity and personality for the hotel and its guests,” he added.

With each hotel remaining individually designed and adhering to a contemporary theme, the company feel that the ibis Styles brand offers guests a “budget boutique atmosphere,” that is “unique to the economy segment”. The managing director thinks that the ibis Styles brand will play a big part in the company’s expansion, too.

“As we continue to increase the Accor UK network to 300 hotels by 2015, ibis Styles and the economy brands will play a major part in our development,” he concluded.
