West Berkshire hotel operator, the Vineyard Group, is excited to announce plans to re-open the historic King’s Head Hotel in the heart of Cirencester town centre.
Closed for redevelopment in 2007, the King’s Head will re-open at the beginning of March 2014 as a modern, elegant hotel offering 45 stylish bedrooms, an exceptional wine list and an all day dining option offering the very best of modern British food.
The entire hotel has been undergoing an extensive restoration programme to address decades of neglect to the historic fabric, including extensive archaeological excavation in the cellars.
Andrew McKenzie, managing director of the Vineyard Group and who will manage the King’s Head Hotel said: “We are passionate about all the projects we take on board, but the King’s Head is a little bit special; it’s in a great location and has some stunning architectural features. It will be exciting to see this historical gem rejuvenated to become part of the social fabric of Cirencester.”
