Leasowe Castle wins Hotel.com ‘Loved By Guests’ award

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Leasowe Castle has been recognised for its exceptional customer service with a ‘Loved By Guests’ from Hotels.com.

The luxury Wirral hotel was granted the acclaim by the online travel agent following its high-scoring reviews on the website.

Located in the heart of Wirral, the 16th century castle-turned-hotel features over 150 verified reviews on the site, with the majority of guests scoring the four-star venue eight and above out of 10.

Mike Dewey, general manager of Leasowe Castle, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by Hotels.com, which is an international operator within the travel industry, for this award – especially as the criteria is solely based on guest reviews. Here at Leasowe Castle, we pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and we are thrilled to hear such positive comments from our residents, many of whom have travelled from across the world for the chance to stay in our historic castle.

“Customer reviews are amongst the best performance indicators both for the business and for the team. Whether guests are joining us for an overnight stay or simply dining and drinking in one of our in-house establishments, our staff will always go above and beyond to ensure that they have a fantastic experience from the moment they step through the doors.”

In addition to its 47 hotel rooms, the venue is also home to Brasserie 1593 and Wreckers Bar and has become a destination of choice for weddings, celebrations, conferences and meetings.

Dewey added: “In this digital era, many guests will look to online reviews before booking so it is incredibly important to us that these remain consistent and are truly reflective of the customer experience that we provide. As a team, we are immensely proud that Leasowe Castle has built up a reputation for its excellent service and we are sure that this will long continue.

“Recognition such as this further establishes Leasowe Castle as a sought-after venue within Merseyside and promotes Wirral as a fantastic destination for families, couples and corporates alike.”
