Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announces two new regional European appointments

Luxury five-star hotel operator Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced Amanda Hyndman and Gerard Sintes as the two new regional European appointments for Mandarin Oriental in Munich, Prague and Barcelona.

Christoph Mares, COO at the group operating 31 hotels and eight residences in 21 countries, made the announcement.

Hyndman, known for her five-year work as the general manager of Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, will return to the group as general manager to run Mandarin Oriental in Munich and Prague. She has previously worked as general manager of The Excelsior in Hong Kong and Mandarin Oriental in Washington DC.

Furthermore, Sintes will relocate from Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London to Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona for four years as the general manager of Hotel Ritz, where will be responsible for the renovation and rebranding of the hotel. He will also oversee the group’s Barcelona property.
