Forty-Seven, the upcoming luxury hotel from Kro Hospitality in Manchester, has announced it will open in summer 2022, and it has appointed Ryan Thompson as general manager ahead of the opening.
Thompson has a background in travel, events and hotels from the North-West, including Edwardian Hotels Manchester, Cottons Hotel and Spa in Cheshire and, most recently, Hotel Gotham.
Additionally, Forty-Seven has appointed Amy Brown as a sales manager, who has previously worked in sales at Manchester Victoria and Albert Hotel by Marriott. Both Brown and Thompson have previously worked together at the Edwardian Hotels.
The Forty-Seven hotel will boast 32 bedrooms, including a range of duplex and signature suites. The property is set to open within the Grade-II listed Lancashire House, a former shipping warehouse located at 47 Peter Street.
The hotel will also be home to The Peterman, a bar which reforms the focus of the Petersfield stories, and it will offer hand-crafted cocktails.
In addition, Manchester’s Asha’s restaurant is also set to re-open this summer.
Kro Hospitality’s other city centre venue, Velvet Hotel, Bar and Brasserie, is currently undergoing an extension of the hotel to create an additional 18 bedrooms.

Brown added: “I’m thrilled to be working with Ryan again. I’m looking forward to our new hospitality venture and feel that Peter Street is the perfect home for the hotel.”
