Stratford-upon-Avon boutique hotel, The Arden Hotel, has announced it has reopened following its first phase of a “lengthy” refurbishment.
The refurbishment has seen the reception and Brook Suite renovated, as well as its on-site restaurant, The Club Bar, which now features a private riverside terrace.
The transformation of the four-star hotel, which has been overseen by owners The Eden Hotel Collection, will be followed up by the second phase of works later in the year, which aims to refurbish the bedrooms.
General manager Josefine Blomqvist said: “It is great to re-open these spaces to our guests. It’s looking lovely and we have had some great feedback from visitors already.”
Interior designer Lucy Yarwood, who led on the project, added: “Although we have kept the day-to-day maintenance of the rooms over the years, we felt that the areas needed a refresh.
“We’ve changed the colour palette in the reception leading to tones of teals and greens, made tweaks in The Club Bar such as a new feature wall, and added architectural features to the Brook Suite to give it more character – so it’s looking terrific.”
She added: “In The Club Bar, we have also retained the black and white framed prints donated by the RSC of famous actors in Shakespearian costume, which have always drawn a lot of interest from visitors.”
