De Vere Cotswold Water Park, part of the De Vere’s collection of country estate hotels, has appointed Dan Kelly as its new general manager.
Kelly has more than 22 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and joins the hotel from Delta by Marriott Cheltenham Chase where he has been general manager for the last seven years.
Commenting on his new role, Kelly said: “It’s a pleasure to become part of the De Vere Cotswold Water Park family, as well as the wider De Vere team. After such an extensive refurbishment to the hotel and event spaces, I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue to build on the success and to help develop the whole De Vere Cotswold Water Park experience.”
Laurie Nicol, COO at De Vere, added: “Dan has exceptional credentials and knowledge of the hospitality sector, especially in the Southwest, which will be a real asset to the team. We know that he will provide strong and effective leadership to enable De Vere Cotswold Water Park to continue to deliver remarkable results.”
De Vere Cotswold Water Park is located on Lake 6, among the 152 lakes that make up the Cotswold Water Park area. The contemporary hotel has just undergone an extensive refurbishment, which has seen the renovation of its family apartments and luxury bedrooms, The Old Boathouse Restaurant and Bar and the reception and lobby areas. It has also introduced The Muddy Duck Café.
