The Glenforsa Hotel on the Isle of Mull, a “profitable” boutique hotel in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, has been brought to market for over £1.5m for the freehold going concern.
The news comes as the owners, who have handled the property for 20 years, have decided to sell and retire.
The Glenforsa Hotel is set on 7.83 acres of woodland, which is reportedly included within the sale, and offers 13 en suite letting rooms with both sea or woodland views, two Scandinavian-style cabins for families and groups, as well as a bar, restaurant and beer garden with sea views.
In addition, the property also features a two bedroom owners chalet with a lounge, bathroom and kitchen.
The hotel is well connected to Oban by ferry, and can also be reached from Morvern and Ardnamurchan. The business is currently open seasonally from April to October each year, which means that there is scope to extend trade with other offerings for the potential buyer.
Tony Spence, hospitality business agent at Christie and Co, said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire a very profitable, seasonal hotel business which enjoys a stunning island setting and has achieved fantastic online reviews.
“The hotel has been well maintained and would require no investment from the new owner. However, there is still plenty of potential for the new owner to grow the successful business further.”
