Crimson Hotels has announced the appointment of Federico Ciampi as the company’s new cluster general manager. This is said to mark his promotion within the hotel group, managing both Curio Collection properties, The Trafalgar St. James and 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel.

News of the appointment follows the recent acquisition of the Trafalgar St. James, a luxury five-star hotel located in the central tourist district of Trafalgar Square.

It is reported that Ciampi is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience. He returns to manage the Trafalgar St. James after previously managing the property for two years between 2018 and 2020.

In addition, he has also worked in luxury venues around the world in London, Dubai, Edinburgh, Manchester and the British Virgin Islands, leading in the management of a number of luxury properties including The Mayfair Townhouse and the V&A Manchester Marriott

Ciampi said: “It’s an honour to return to The Trafalgar St. James as general manager. The hotel is in an impeccable location and boasts a fantastic clientele. I’m looking forward to building on previous experience and advancing the team to continue offering the standout service expected at such a prominent and well known luxury hotel.”

Stephanie Gosling, group commercial director of Crimson Hotels, said: “Federico was a natural first choice to head up The Trafalgar St. James Hotel.

“Not only does he have a legacy of managing the property, but he is operating across multiple locations in the portfolio, which will allow him to bring a depth of knowledge and creative flair to 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel and The Trafalgar St. James Hotel. We are thrilled to see what the future holds for both properties in such capable hands.”
