The Dixie Dean hotel in Liverpool has been put up for sale by its administrators Kroll.
The boutique themed hotel was completed in 2021 but is now for sale after its parent company Signature Eden Ltd went into administration in August. CBRE is marketing the property named after former Everton FC player William Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean.
The grade II listed building has a total of 45 themed rooms which can sleep 280 people. It also includes a 120-cover bar and restaurant. It is located in the centre of Liverpool near Lime Street station.
A CBRE brochure stated that the hotel had “proven to be a strong performer” in the hotel market and that it had “strong forward bookings” going into 2023. The asking price has not been disclosed.
Signature Eden is one of around 60 firms part of the Signature Living family which went into administration in April 2020. This has left the future of a number of its projects up in the air.
The firm had planned to build the George Best hotel in Belfast but that site was put up for sale in the summer after court approval.
