JW Marriott Grosvenor House London has appointed Cristina Muku as director of Sales and Marketing for the 496-room property and first hotel on Park Lane.
Muku has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and was recently promoted from director of Sales at JW Marriott Grosvenor House. She currently oversees key segments including the Middle East market, entertainment, sports, diplomatic, and is directly responsible for luxury Consortia.
In her new role, Muku will oversee the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy and continue to drive revenue growth.
She began her career with Marriott International in 1998 as a manager in training at the Denver Marriott City Centre. After this she moved back to her home country, Brazil, and held several sales leadership roles at the Renaissance Sao Paulo and oversaw the pre-opening for the iconic JW Rio de Janeiro.
Finishing her 10 years tenure as director of Groups, Muku moved to Miami where she spent four years as director of Corporate Accounts for JW Marriott Miami and managed her fourth pre-opening for JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
In 2011, she moved to the UK as director of Sales for Marriott’s London Sales Office and in 2018, joined Grosvenor House. More recently, she supported the hotel’s post-pandemic recovery and now continues to drive the property’s sales strategy.
Stuart Bowery, Multi Property general manager at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London said: “Cristina is an exceptional leader and I have no doubt her strong experience and knowledge of key segments will support continued growth for JW Marriott Grosvenor House in such a dynamic London market.”
