Cartmel Old Grammar brought to market

The Grade II listed building was originally constructed in 1790 and has been fully redesigned and refurbished throughout, now boasting a stylish and contemporary wedding venue

Cartmel Old Grammar, a “beautifully” renovated, exclusive-use wedding venue with guest rooms in Cartmel, Cumbria, has been brought to market for an undisclosed price.

The country house enjoys a prime location in the village, overlooking the Cartmel Racecourse and close to the 12th century Cartmel Priory and L’Enclume, a three Michelin Star restaurant.

The Grade II listed building was originally constructed in 1790 and has been fully redesigned and refurbished throughout, now featuring a “stylish and contemporary” wedding venue, along with 11 luxury appointed rooms and three spacious apartments.

The venue’s expansive public spaces are ideal for hosting a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Outside of the property, there are formal gardens with a fountain and gazebo, as well as a south facing sun terrace and hot tub.
