Morgans Originals appoints area general manager for London sites

Hasham Soliman brings 30 years of experience in the London luxury hotel industry, where he has been involved in a total of seven new hotel openings

Morgans Originals, part of the Ennismore brand, has appointed Hasham Soliman as area general manager for both St Martins Lane and Sanderson London.

Soliman brings 30 years of experience in the London luxury hotel industry, where he has been involved in a total of seven new hotel openings, with him assuming the role of general manager within four of those.

He joins the team from his previous role as cluster general manager for Dominus Real Estate, where he successfully opened Lost Property – St Paul’s, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton, and The Dixon – Tower Bridge, an Autograph Collection hotel by Marriott.

Soliman has also held tenures at at the Park Plaza Westminster, where he managed one of the busiest hotel operations in the UK with 1,019 bedrooms and 35 meeting rooms, as well as feasibility for The Black Book Consultancy for Svart-Norway, where he worked on hotel configuration, operations, sustainability and five-year business plan.

Soliman also worked alongside teams in both hotels to develop restaurant and bar concepts, in keeping with each venue and market trends. 

In addition, Soliman was general manager for the Intercontinental London, The O2, which is home to the largest pillar free ballroom in Europe, with capacity for 3,000 people.
