Pride of Britain Hotels (PoB) has announced that TV presenter, Architect and Designer George Clarke has become its newest ambassador.
This comes alongside the launch of a new campaign from PoB; An Inspired Life.
PoB Hotels are creating experiences for guests designed by what inspires them most, via their recently launched PoB Breaks.
As part of this Clarke has embarked on a bespoke PoB Break, Cinematic Locations and the Art of Heritage Restoration.
This journey takes him from the Sussex countryside, through the New Forest, and ending in the Chilterns.
Clarke said: “When the PoB Hotels team approached me they had one question: what inspires you? While of course on the surface level it is architecture and design that piques my interest, I was actually surprised by just how inspiring some of these historic hotels and their owners were.
“Take Gravetye Manor for instance, whether it’s the glass dining room, an amphitheatre for great food that harks back to its history in Elizabethan days, the blending of architecture with landscape created by William Robinson in the gardens, or the R and K initials carved into the stonework, explaining the love story behind the building of this manor.”
He added: “I was inspired by design decisions old and new, and how they weave together to create the hotel that stands today. I’m thrilled to be able to share my inspiration with other guests, and hopefully inspire them to appreciate those little design and architectural details a little more during their stays.”
