Cycas Hospitality, the European hotel management company, has announced key appointments within the organisation’s eight-strong Senior Operational leadership team, led by COOs Keith Griffiths and Julia Harnischfeger.
Martin Coombes joins Cycas Hospitality as VP of Operations for the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, overseeing the operational performance of the company’s growing portfolio across the regions, ensuring that all properties continue to deliver the company’s industry-leading reputation for high-quality guest experience for which Cycas is known.
With over 25 years of hospitality management experience, including most recently, senior roles within Atlas Hotels, Coombes brings a “wealth of industry knowledge and leadership skills to the role”.
In addition, Michael Mason-Shaw has been promoted to regional director of Operations for the UK and Ireland. Moving from his previous role as general manager at the 280-room Hyatt Place London City East, Mason-Shaw will focus on driving operational excellence across the portfolio in these key markets, with a remit including development of relationships with owners and wider stakeholders.
Cycas said his hands-on approach, proven track record of improving operational efficiency and expertise in managing full-service properties, will be “instrumental” as it continues to expand its presence in the region.
Wider updates at Cycas Hospitality include the recent appointment of Tonio Logiudice, who takes over the reins of the organisation’s flagship Parisian property, 25hours Hotel Paris Terminus Nord.
With extensive experience in managing boutique and lifestyle hotels, Tonio Logiudice is a seasoned hotelier with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, having previously held key positions with B&B Hotels and Timhotel Groupe. Tonio will play a key role in further positioning this iconic property as a unique destination for both leisure and business travellers.
Announcing the new appointments, Matt Luscombe, CEO at Cycas Hospitality, said: “I am delighted to celebrate these remarkable career achievements of such a passionate, dedicated, and talented group of leaders within our company.
“With the addition of these individuals to our Senior Operational Team, Cycas is further strengthening its commitment to building and developing Europe’s best hospitality team. This enhanced team brings unparalleled operational expertise and experience, reinforcing our ability to support Cycas’ continued growth and success across Europe.”
