Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham has unveiled its brand new Spirit Health Club, following a multi-million-pound refurbishment to transform the hotel’s facilities.
Completed ahead of schedule, the project was part of continued investment in elevating guest experience, and has seen Holiday Inn Gloucester’s facilities transform to offer a “state-of-the-art” gym and leisure suite.
Work began on the refurbishment in September 2024 and delivered newly-installed Matrix gym equipment, a re-designed poolside with relaxation areas, revamped changing rooms and a refreshed reception area.
Now open to members and hotel guests, completion of the new Spirit Health Club marks the second refurbishment at the four-star hotel in less than two years.
A major modernisation programme for the hotel’s 129 bedrooms, entrance, outdoor areas and event spaces was completed in 2023.
Brian McCarthy, president at Valor Hospitality Europe, said: “Whether our guests at Holiday Inn Gloucester are visiting for business or pleasure, or are local members of our Spirit Health Club, they can enjoy a fitness and leisure suite that has been thoughtfully designed to optimise their health and wellbeing and provide an exceptional experience.”
Mark Pearson, head of leisure at Valor Hospitality Europe, added: “It’s a very proud moment as we unveil the newly refurbished Spirit Health Club at Holiday Inn Gloucester. The new health and leisure suite has been designed to be a welcoming, invigorating and relaxing space with specially curated state-of-the-art equipment, and perfectly represents our continued emphasis on enhancing our hotel portfolio.”
Operated by Valor Hospitality, Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham is located in close proximity to the tourist hotspots of Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.
