Solent Hotel and Spa in Fareham has been awarded five-bubble status by the Good Spa Guide, recognising it among the top-rated spas in the UK.
The rating follows an anonymous visit from a Good Spa Guide “spa spy”, who praised the hotel’s “chilled out vibe”, “contemporary tones” and “impressive range of treatments”.
The newly renovated wellness space was also described as “perfect for lazy days”.
Part of hospitality group Thwaites, Solent Hotel and Spa was previously rated four bubbles in 2024 and named a finalist in the Good Spa Guide Awards 2025.
The five-bubble rating follows a major refurbishment earlier this year. Upgrades included a new pool hall, salt wall sauna, steam room, storm shower, jacuzzi and outdoor cabanas.
The spa also offers treatments from Caudalie and TempleSpa, with flexible memberships and dining at the hotel’s grill restaurant, FYR.
The Good Spa Guide assesses spas on criteria such as cleanliness, facilities, sustainability and treatment quality, using a three-to-five bubble system.
Michelle Young, spa operations manager at Solent Hotel and Spa, said: “We’re so immensely proud to have received this recognition, especially from such an influential and trusted spa source. It underscores our dedication to delivering an exceptional wellness experience for our guests.”
