The Beaumont Mayfair is set to open a new modern British restaurant, Rosi, in September, led by newly appointed culinary director Lisa Goodwin-Allen.
The Mayfair hotel said Rosi marks “an exciting new chapter” in its dining offer, continuing the contemporary direction taken since chief executive Stuart Procter joined.
Rosi will serve modern British dishes rooted in seasonality and local sourcing, showcasing Goodwin-Allen’s “imaginative and technically assured” cooking.
Goodwin-Allen, one of the UK’s few female Michelin-starred chefs, has helped Northcote in Lancashire retain its star for more than 20 years. She is also known for running the annual Obsession food festival.
At Rosi, she will work alongside executive chef Brendan Fyldes and executive head chef Jozef Rogulski, formerly of The Game Bird at The Stafford London.
The menu will feature reimagined British classics, including seasonal pies, an “old-fashioned” pork pie, English Wagyu and Lake District beef steaks, and theatrical desserts such as flamed sponge and a Mayfair Millionaire’s Tart.
Rosi’s interior will replace the current Colony Grill with a brighter, more characterful design, moving away from its “masculine, clubby feel” to create a more welcoming atmosphere.
Procter said: “Rosi represents everything we love about British dining; seasonal ingredients, timeless dishes and genuine warmth. With Lisa at the helm and Brendan and Jozef by her side, we’re bringing a new energy to The Beaumont and reimagining what dining in Mayfair can feel like.”
Goodwin-Allen added: “I can’t wait to open the doors to Rosi. It’s been a joy working with Stuart, Brendan and Jozef to help create my London home. Rosi is a restaurant where the menu is full of dishes you really want to eat, and the atmosphere is just as inviting. I hope Rosi will be embraced by Londoners, just as I have been.”
