The Beaumont Mayfair hotel will open Rosi, a new restaurant led by chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, on 1 October as part of the hotel’s ongoing transformation.

Goodwin-Allen, one of the UK’s “most acclaimed” chefs and part of a small group of female Michelin-starred chefs, has been appointed culinary director at the hotel.

She has held a Michelin star at Northcote for more than two decades and is known for her bold, technically assured cooking.

At Rosi, she will work alongside executive chef Brendan Fyldes and executive head chef Jozef Rogulski, formerly of The Game Bird at The Stafford London

The project is part of chief executive Stuart Procter’s repositioning of the Mayfair hotel.

The menu will reinterpret British classics with “playful twists”, from chicken Diane and seafood cocktail to seasonal signature pies and English Wagyu steaks.

Additionally, desserts will include flamed sponge with custard, a build-your-own sundae and the Mayfair Millionaire Tart.

The restaurant’s design will feature a “lighter” and “more colourful” interior than its predecessor, The Colony Grill.

Procter said: “Rosi represents everything we love about British dining; seasonal ingredients, timeless dishes and genuine warmth. With Lisa at the helm and Brendan and Jozef by her side, we’re bringing a new energy to The Beaumont and reimagining what dining in Mayfair can feel like.”

Goodwin-Allen added: “I can’t wait to open the doors to Rosi. It’s been a joy working with Stuart, Brendan and Jozef to help create my London home. Rosi is a restaurant where the menu is full of dishes you really want to eat, and the atmosphere is just as inviting.”
