The Hoxton Shoreditch, the first property in the Hoxton portfolio, is undergoing a full refresh of its interiors as it approaches its 20th anniversary, with a new restaurant opening as part of the redesign.
The reimagined spaces have been created by Ennismore’s in-house team, AIME Studios, to retain the hotel’s original character while introducing updated design elements inspired by the area’s industrial and creative heritage. The project will be completed by January 2026.
A new all-day Italian restaurant, Il Bambini Club, has also opened on the ground floor, replacing Hoxton Grill, the brand’s first restaurant.
It will serve pasta, pizza and cocktails in a trattoria-style setting, while rooftop venue Llama Inn will continue to offer modern Peruvian dishes and cocktails with city views.
The redesigned lobby maintains features such as stone fireplaces and a circular chandelier while adding textiles, timbers and bold colours as references to Shoreditch’s history of weaving, woodworking and street art.
The hotel’s 210 rooms will feature a “retro-inspired” aesthetic, with new “Cosy Up” rooms adding lounge areas for leisure stays.
Interiors combine parquet floors and wood finishes with chrome details, terrazzo, leathers and woven rugs, alongside two distinct bathroom styles.
Additionally, The Apartment, the hotel’s seven-room meeting and events space, has also been updated with retro-futurist and mid-century modern influences, designed for events ranging from press launches to weddings.
To mark the refresh, The Hoxton will host Hox Flea on 14 September as part of the Shoreditch Design Triangle.
Guests will be able to buy furniture and fittings from the original hotel, with proceeds donated to Shelter From The Storm, a homeless charity.
