Hand Picked Hotels has announced the appointment of Will Jackson, Jaime Short and José Simoes to senior leadership positions in its Channel Islands team, as part of a regional growth strategy across Jersey, Alderney and Guernsey.

Jackson has been named general manager of l’Horizon Hotel and Spa in Jersey, having previously held the same position at the Pomme d’Or Hotel in St Helier.

Meanwhile, José Simoes joins as hotel manager at Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney, moving from a role at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel.

Simoes will manage daily operations at the Alderney property, while Jackson oversees the Jersey site’s luxury positioning and guest services.

Short, who joins as director of sales for the Channel Islands, was previously a cluster director of sales and marketing for Marriott Hotels. In her new role, she will oversee trade and corporate partnerships across the company’s regional portfolio.

The appointments follow the recent Green Tourism accreditation for l’Horizon and an AA-rosette award for its restaurant.

Julia Hands, chair of Hand Picked Hotels, said: “Our Channel Island properties have always been a key part of our strategic focus, and these appointments reflect our commitment to and long-term investment in the Channel Islands.

“We are passionate about supporting strong talent and I am confident these colleagues will further contribute to the performance and reputation of our Channel Islands properties within the Hand Picked Hotels portfolio.”
