Hotel operator Elite Venue Selection has appointed general manager Chris Main to lead its Grand Hotel Gosforth Park site in Newcastle.

Main will oversee daily operations and guest relations at the 232-bedroom property. The manager has worked in luxury hotel administration for 22 years.

The appointment follows his tenure as general manager at Linden Hall Hotel in Northumberland. Main previously worked for Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, Seaham Hall, and Doxford Hall Hotel.

The manager will oversee forthcoming property refurbishments and updated visitor packages at the site. The business operates the venue as part of its luxury leisure portfolio.
