IHG has opened its second Voco hotel in Oxford, the fourth in the UK.
The 181-room Voco Oxford Spires hotel, which has been rebranded from The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel is situated alongside the River Thames and the University College Oxford Grounds.
Built 20 years ago, the property was designed by local builder John Ede and businessman Brian Murtyr, but the buildings on the ground date back to the 15th century.
The hotel also includes 11 meeting rooms, the hotel health club, which features a spa, steam room, jacuzzi, pool, gym and treatment rooms and a restaurant.
General manager of Voco Oxford Spires, Wendy Procter said: “We are delighted to be the fourth hotel in the UK to join the Voco family.
“Our hotel offers guests the opportunity to relax in a rural setting whilst only being within walking distance from one of the greatest historic cities in the world. Voco is all about delivering great guest experience and we look forward to offering a warm welcome to guests, old and new when they choose to stay with us.”
