Yotel has announced it will unveil its first central London-based hotel in Clerkenwell on 1 August.
Yotel London marks the third European city-centre hotel for the brand, following the launch of Yotel Edinburgh and Yotel Amsterdam last year. Two further sites are set to open in Glasgow and Porto later this year.
The London site will feature 212 modern bedrooms, each equipped with an adjustable SmartBed, gel-cooled mattresses, rain showers, Smart TVs, multiple power and USB charging ports and free WiFi.
Additional amenities include two creative meeting spaces equipped with AV technology, as well as a 24/7 gym and grab-and-go food kiosk. The hotel will also feature Komyuniti, an all-day restaurant and bar that serves street food-inspired dishes, local craft beer and speciality cocktails.
Guests will be encouraged to check-in through the Yotel App and download a SmartKey for lo-touch bedroom access. Self-service kiosks will also provide an alternative way to check-in and check-out.
Guillermo Gomez, general manager of Yotel London, said: “Every detail of our hotel has been designed to reflect those who want to make the most of their time and money without compromising on a comfortable and modern hotel experience.
“Our convenient location means easy access in and out of the city as well as offering the opportunity to live like a Londoner and enjoy the neighbourhood as the locals do.”
Hubert Viriot, Yotel CEO, said: “We are so pleased to be bringing Yotel back home to where it all began. London has a special place in our hearts as our first ever hotels opened here in both Heathrow and Gatwick back in 2007.
“Our headquarters are also based in London, it’s been fantastic to be so close to this project and see it all come to life. Clerkenwell is such a vibrant and creative area and I hope our guests enjoy exploring everything that it has to offer as much as we do.”
