The McGettigan Hotel Group has announced the launch of its new brand, The Address Collective, following a €16m (£14.4m) investment.
According to RTE, the brand concept follows the “success” of the Address at Dublin hotel. With its latest investment, the group has now brought together three hotels to form the brand.
The collection will see The North Star Hotel, The Kingswood Hotel and the Ambassador Hotel rebrand as The Address Connolly, The Address Citywest and The Address Cork.
The collection comprises a total of 480 bedrooms, employing 300 people across the brand.
Brian McGettigan told RTE that despite the challenges of the pandemic, the group’s long-term vision for its latest brand “remains steadfast and on track to grow market share”.
He said: “We are confident that our brand offering is one that corporate and leisure guests will seek out.
“The current crisis has changed not only the trading landscape of the hospitality industry, it has changed the entire world. Similar to many other businesses, we have had to adapt quickly to create a safe trading environment for our customers and staff.”
He added: “All properties have successfully completed the Failté Ireland Covid-19 Safety Charter. The safety of our guests and staff is at the fore and is a key priority.”
The McGettigan Group consists of nine hotels, including the three Address hotels, the Bonnington in Dublin, the Royal Hotel in Bray, Limerick City Hotel, Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny, McGettigans Hotel in Letterkenny and the Bonnington in Dubai.
The group is now looking to expand the brand in Ireland, the UK and Europe through a “combination of purchases, leases and joint ventures”.
