Tower Hotel Management has appointed three members of the senior management team at the new Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire, ahead of the site’s opening in February 2021.

The latest appointments include head chef, David Savage, operations manager, Ryan Clackstone and front of house manager, Lauren O’Connor. They will be led by general manager Scott Randall.

Joining from the Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham, Savage brings with him 25 years of culinary experience in branded hotels, as well as one-star and two-star Michelin restaurants. He will be responsible for managing the site’s kitchen.

Clackstone joins from the London Marriott Hotel, having previously studied Hospitality Business Management at Sheffield Hallam University. He has over eight years of experience in front of house hospitality.

Clackstone said: “To join a new hotel with a new team is certainly an exciting prospect and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I look forward to working alongside the management team in the coming months as we lead up to the official opening in February.”

O’Connor joins as front of house manager from Wychwood Park Hotel and Golf Club, and also brings with her eight years of hospitality experience.

Developed by Keele Hotel Developments, a joint venture between Marick Real Estate Ltd and Mill Lane Estates Ltd, the new site will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.

Randall said: “As we edge closer to the new year and opening day, I’m pleased to welcome David, Ryan and Lauren on-board. In what has been a challenging 12 months for the hospitality sector, we’re looking ahead with a positive outlook and will be eager to await our first customers in February.”

Peter de la Perrelle, managing director of Tower Hotel Management, said: “I echo Scott’s enthusiasm ahead of the new year. It is fantastic to welcome new members to the team under the current climate and I look forward to seeing them progress in their roles.”
