Hotelzon, the hotel distribution technology provider, has transferred the ownership of its call centre and booking agency services to a long term partner of Hotelzon, Statesman Travel.
Statesman Travel’s acquisition of Hotelzon UK will see the call centre team relocated to Statesman’s headquarters in central London. Hotelzon will operate out of a newly-created global headquarters in Richmond, Surrey with subsidiary offices in Finland, Sweden, Romania and Asia Pacific.
Senior board members including Jani Kaskinen, Hotelzon’s chief executive, will be based in the new London head office along with sales and marketing and project management functions.
Jani Kaskinen of Hotelzon said: “We are looking forward to a bright future in this rapidly changing market. We know where our strengths are and we want to capitalise on the team, the knowledge and our relationships in the sector”.
Mervyn Williamson, joint managing director of Statesman commented: “We are excited about the introduction of this new addition to our service and the opportunities that it will present. The team will continue to work closely with Hotelzon and thus both parties will benefit from any future expansion”.
