The Crowne Plaza Glasgow will be hosting the Louis Woodcock Celebratory Dinner in honour of the life and achievements of the former industry veteran Louis Woodcock while raising money and awareness for Sarcoma UK.

The black tie dinner, taking place on 5 July, will be the culmination of the fundraising efforts of Daniel and Antony Woodcock who, on 28 May, set off in their late father’s 1927 Bentley to join the 33-day Peking to Paris endurance rally to raise money for the bone and soft tissue cancer charity. Louis Woodcock sadly passed away after a two year battle with the disease.

Speaking before the race, Daniel Woodcock said: “The Peking to Paris Rally was, for many years, a dream of our father’s and he made it his goal to compete in the upcoming event.  He put a great deal of time and effort into preparing himself for the rally, at times it even drove him to go on.”

The general manager of the Crowne Plaza Glasgow, Dominic McVey said: “We are delighted to be able to host such a worthwhile dinner to celebrate the life of Louis Woodcock and the inspirational fundraising efforts of Daniel and Antony.”
