The Best Western Plus Samlesbury hotel in Preston has appointed Constantin Betianu as its new general manager.
Betianu has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and worked in senior roles at the Marriott Hotel, Preston, and in the cruise industry.
The 80-bedroom hotel is located on Preston Road and features a restaurant, eight meeting and conference rooms and includes a suite which can hold up to 220 people. The property is owned by Squire Hotels.
Betianu said: “This is a dream job for me, it’s exciting and already I’m loving my time here. I have worked in the area previously and I plan to utilise my experience to help the hotel grow in the city of Preston and further consolidate our position as a leading provider to bolster Lancashire’s booming economy and travel and tourism industry.”
Jodi Masterson, managing director at Squire Hotels, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Betianu to the team. He has a wealth of experience in the industry and he was the standout candidate. We’re sure that his qualities will help take the hotel to the next level.”
