Lympstone Manor awarded five-star AA rating

Lympstone Manor has announced it has been awarded a five-star rating from the hospitality association the AA.

The luxury hotel in Devon, created by British chef Michael Caines, has received the accolade following its official opening last year.

The Grade II listed country house is set in 28 acres of Devon countryside features 21 rooms and has plans to continue with new initiatives to “further enhance the five star guest experience”, including planting a vineyard in the grounds and launching a bespoke Adventure Concierge for guests.

Speaking about the achievement, Caines said: “We are so proud to have received a five star AA rating at Lympstone Manor. Since opening the hotel in April last year the team has continued to work hard to offer every guest a fantastic experience so it’s great to see our offering reflected by this prestigious accolade. This is a huge achievement for us and we’re honoured to now hold five AA stars.”

Gary Baldwin, senior hotel and restaurant inspector, added: “Following a series of inspections to measure consistency and quality the AA have awarded five stars to Lympstone Manor. Lympstone is a very special place, with excellent levels of service from the close nit professional team, each bringing with them a wealth of experience from some of the UK’s finest hotels.

“Our inspectors were impressed with the physical quality of the property, a true hands-on vision from Michael, excellent attention to detail and quality noted throughout. This official star grading is only the beginning of the Lympstone journey, with exciting plans ahead to make this an even greater destination.”
