The Hotelier’s Charter awards Accor’s MGallery ‘Charter Hotelier’ status

The hotels, Francis Hotel Bath, Queens Hotel Cheltenham and Castle Hotel Windsor, were granted the status thanks to the ‘number of initiatives that have been implemented by management to support its teams’

Accor has announced that its MGallery Hotels in the UK have become an approved Charter Hotelier – an award which has been granted to the hotels by The Hoteliers’ Charter. 

The hotels, Francis Hotel Bath, Queens Hotel Cheltenham and Castle Hotel Windsor, were granted the status thanks to the number of “initiatives that have been implemented by management to support its teams”. 

The Hoteliers’ Charter, since its creation in 2020, has sought “to raise the profile of the hospitality industry and promote hospitality as a profession of choice to parents, schools, colleges, universities and careers influencers”. 

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, all three hotels have “pivoted their focus during to support their local communities, raising funds for Hospitality Action with a 24hour Gymathon, donating food parcels to NHS trusts and local charities and implementing key worker drive-throughs for the community.”

In addition, Castle Hotel Windsor also invested £200k on improving its ‘heart of house’ facilities, while also focusing on providing healthy and nutritious food for team meals. 

Sam Goss, general manager of Castle Hotel Windsor, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that MGallery Hotel Collection UK has joined this prestigious network. Whilst we already undertake a number of activities to support the wellbeing of our employees this further cements our commitment to ensure our employees are front of mind in everything we do.  

The Hoteliers Charter was created by Sally Beck, general manager of The Royal Lancaster Hotel. It is supported by, The Master Innholders, UKHospitality, St Julian’s Scholars and The Institute of Hospitality
