Martin has over 26 years’ experience in the leisure and hospitality industry, having previously held regional positions for Radisson Hotel Group and Millennium and Copthorne Hotels with a “strong focus on the Glasgow market”.
In her new role, she will work alongside Crowne Plaza Glasgow’s general manager, Jason Dombrower, to “drive and develop sales and marketing strategies, ensuring the hotel is primed for recovery as Scotland prepares to ease leisure and hospitality restrictions connected to the pandemic”.
Martin said: “I am excited to be part of the Crowne Plaza and wider Valor team at what is such a pivotal time for the hospitality industry. It’s been a difficult year for everyone but I’m confident the sector will bounce-back.
“I’ve been aware of Valor for a long time and am looking forward to being part of a team which prides itself just as much on employee progression, as it does business growth. This is a great opportunity to rebuild and reposition the iconic Crowne Plaza Glasgow hotel and brand in the post-Covid market and I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge.”
