The London Fire Brigade (LFB) has launched an investigation into a fire that broke out at Mayfair’s the Dorchester hotel.
The fire and rescue service noted that four fire engines and roughly 25 firefighters were called to tackle the fire at 3.14PM on 31 August 2021.
After almost two hours, the brigade said that the fire was under control by 5.02PM, with crews from Chelsea, Soho, and Paddington fire stations at the scene.
According to the LFB, part of a room on the lower ground floor staffing block adjoining the eight-storey Park Lane building and part of the extraction system were damaged by the fire.
There were no reports of injuries at the incident, which occurred at the five-star luxury Dorchester hotel situated to the east of Hyde Park.
The Dorchester is owned by Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) and managed by the sovereign wealth fund’s Dorchester Collection.
