Cotswolds hotel launches Amazon Dot powered AI concierge

The Old Stocks Inn in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, has introduced an in-room concierge service using a bespoke version of Amazon’s Alexa assistant.

It enables guests to ask Alexa questions about the hotel such as check out and breakfast serving times by using the prompt: “Alexa, ask the hotel”.

Jim Cockell, owner of the hotel, said: “Consumers are becoming increasingly used to interacting with artificial intelligence systems like Alexa and so it makes perfect sense to introduce this technology into the hotel environment.
