Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa has been awarded ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ in the Marketing Cheshire awards

The Nantwich-based hotel, which is part of the Hand Picked Hotels collection, was also shortlisted for ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ in the awards. 

The Marketing Cheshire awards recognise “excellence and outstanding achievement” by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire and Warrington’s visitor economy, and has been running for 16 years. 

Joe Manning, CEO of Marketing Cheshire, said: “Businesses across Cheshire work incredibly hard to make it a welcoming and exciting place to visit and these awards help us to mark these efforts.”  

General manager, Tim O’Sullivan, said: “We are all thrilled and incredibly proud to have been awarded Large Hotel of the Year, particularly after all the challenges and disruption that the pandemic has caused. We feel honoured to have received such glowing praise.  

“This recognition injects a real sense of achievement for the team, who are the heartbeat of our business. They work extremely hard and always show amazing, humbling commitment to Rookery Hall, which has been especially apparent in the last few years. This award is a testament to everyone’s efforts.”

He added: “We have gone from strength to strength, having recently retained our 4 red star rating from the AA as well as achieving a 2nd AA Rosette in our restaurant. 

“In addition, we continue to be recognised as a five bubble Spa from the Good Spa Guide. I am excited to see what we can accomplish in the year to come as we continue to strive for excellence for our guests.”
