Yotel has announced a series of senior appointments to drive forward the next phase of the brand’s global expansion. All of the new roles focus on driving business development and forming a centralised commercial brand team, in what is a new model for the business.

Hubert Viriot, chief executive, said the business is planning to expand the global footprint of the brand. The newly formed senior team is tasked with achieving a goal of 50 hotels signed, in development or operational by 2025, increasing Yotel’s current portfolio by 44% in less than three years.

Key hires joining the Yotel team include Edward Pinchard as chief commercial officer (CCO), leading sales, revenue, distribution, and brand globally. Previously, he was CCO at Freehand Hotels and Generator, and senior vice president (VP) of Sales and Distribution at Radisson Hotel Group.

Additionally, Rohan Thakkar has been promoted to chief development officer, leading global growth and technical services for Yotel. Thakkar joined Yotel as development manager in 2014, and he will lead a global team working to expand Yotel’s franchising operation.

Olivia Donnan also joins as VP of brand and communications. She has experience leading marketing, communications, and brand strategy in roles at Marriott International in the US and Europe, Generator, Freehand Hotels, and BMF.

Meanwhile, Clare Bastiman has been promoted to VP commercial operations, leading revenue technology, reservations, and systems distribution for Yotel. In her new role, Bastiman leads domain and systems management for hotel distribution and drives tactical implementation of revenue management.

Nader Nawwar has also been promoted to VP of business performance EMEA, overseeing revenue, sales, and marketing for all managed hotels in the EMEA portfolio. In his new role, Nawwar will support hotel ownership and franchise partners.

Travis Breen has been appointed VP of Business Performance USA, leading sales, revenue, and marketing for Yotel’s portfolio in North America. Previously, he was VP sales and revenue for Modus Hotels, Washington DC and was area director of sales and marketing for Kimpton Hotels.

In addition, Augustin Cacot joins as VP of demand, leading digital performance, commercial innovation, analytics, and CRM globally. Previously, he was regional director of revenue for the UK city centre assets of Starwood Capital managed by Principal Hayley, Four Pillars and De Vere Venues, and held roles at Concorde Hotels and The Set Hotels.
