Idiliq Resorts and Hotels has announced the appointment of Simon Jackson as managing director.
In this position, Jackson will head up the resort-based residence offering and oversee a portfolio of 14 branded resorts throughout the EMEA region and the USA. He will also help create operating and commercial structures to prepare the business for expansion across the EMEA region.
Over the last 30 years, Jackson has held senior executive and board positions, including chief operating officer at Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, as well as working for leading global brands in the tourism and hospitality sector for Airtours plc and Diamond Resorts International.
The brand reportedly aims to meet the growing travel demand for consumers wanting better flexibility with their trips, “especially in the post covid era”, as they have seen a demand for remote working, longer stays in hotels and the customer’s need for personal space.
Therefore, each residence offers a combination of the “finest” hotel services with “the space, privacy, and security of a self-catering resort residence”.
Jackson said: “With the plans for expansion, we will be focusing on a more personalised guest experience, offering guests variety, value for money and on-demand services. There is an increased desire for more personalised travel experiences and we want to ensure that we stay competitive and ever evolving to not just meet this demand but exceed it.
“Aside from the high quality of our product and services, our guests truly feel that home away from home experience in all of our residences.”
