Daish’s Holidays has announced the appointment of Richard Moon as the company’s new transport manager.
It is reported that Moon has more than 25 years’ experience in the passenger transport industry, and brings with him a wealth of expertise to the managerial role. He began his career driving UK and European tours before progressing to transport manager, and has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to provide an outstanding customer coach holiday experience.
In his new role for Daish’s Holidays, Moon will oversee a staff of 40 drivers, four transport administrators, and a fleet of 39 coaches, along with the day-to-day management of the passenger transport division.
As transport manager, Moon is also responsible for compliance, recruitment, fleet maintenance, route development and overseeing the delivery of day tours and the logistics of coach transfers across all 12 hotels in the Daish’s Holidays portfolio.
Paul Harper, commercial director at Daish’s Holidays, said: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to our team. With his exceptional knowledge and experience, Richard’s appointment will ensure our transport requirements are not only met but exceeded, allowing us to continue to deliver the highest standards of service for our customers.”
Moon added: “For many years I’ve been interested in joining Daish’s Holidays and I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to further progress my career at a company of this calibre. I am looking forward to the challenge of being responsible for the transport division of an operator of its considerable size.”
