A new 161-room hotel in Bethnal Green, The East London Hotel, will launch this autumn, the first hospitality venture from property investment firm Definition Capital.
The East London Hotel is situated close to the tube and overground stations in Bethnal Green and will combine “local culture with comfort and connectivity”. All rooms will feature bespoke British made mattresses, Wi-Fi, 43-inch 4k TVs and online check-in.
The hotel is said to “uniquely reflect the urban feel of the its East London neighbourhood” and is situated near bars and restaurants on Paradise Row. It aims to work closely with local food and drink suppliers through its offering at the bar and restaurant area of the hotel.
The hotel will be run by partners Irfan Hussain and Marin Jakisic. The team already has an extensive and diverse portfolio of successful investments under their belts throughout the UK having founded the JMH Group in 2004.
Erwin de Jong Oliveira, formerly of Yotel will be the hotel’s GM and has previous experience working in new openings.
