Luxury hotel operator, the Dorchester Collection, has announced the appointment of Arabella El Barkouki as the company’s new global director of sales, effective immediately.
In her new role, El Barkouki will report to the group’s vice president of commercial, Philip Morris. She will be responsible for leading the brand’s global sales team, developing sales strategies to support growth and spearhead policies, objectives and initiatives across the portfolio.
She reportedly brings over 20 years of leadership experience from the luxury hospitality industry to her role and returns to the hotel brand after leaving in 2015 to join Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group as head of regional sales in Europe. Most recently, she was the brand’s vice president of global sales.
El Barkouki first joined the Dorchester Collection in 2008 and spent four years as regional director of sales for the UK, Europe and Russia before being promoted to director of sales and marketing for Le Richemond in Geneva, which was managed by the brand at the time.
Philip Morris, vice president of commercial at Dorchester Collection, said: “We are delighted to welcome Arabella back to Dorchester Collection at such an exciting time for the brand. She is a very accomplished, dynamic leader who will bring a fresh perspective to the role and the strategies we craft for Dorchester Collection.”
El Barkouki added: “Returning to Dorchester Collection and joining such a dedicated, established team of sales professionals is a true pleasure. I look forward to leading our teams globally on a dynamic, forward thinking sales strategy across the portfolio of legendary hotels.”
