Art’otel London Battersea Power Station has announced that it will officially launch on 21 February 2023, with doors open for first stays from 12 December 2022.
It marks the first UK opening for the Art’otel brand, which claims to offer a “one-of-a-kind hotel experience that fuses art, design and hospitality with never-before-seen views”.
The site will reportedly provide a “premium art-inspired experience like no other”, coupled with 360-degree views of London. It features a rooftop bar with a heated infinity pool and hot tub, offering views of the Power Station and beyond from the 16th floor.
From 12 December there will be a soft opening of the hotel when guests will be able to stay as well as sample the TOZI Grand Cafe, followed by the official launch of the hotel, spa and skyline restaurant JOIA by Michelin starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa on 21 February 2023.
JOIA will be headed up by Michelin-starred Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, with the restaurant showcasing his “vibrant, unique, and fresh take” on traditional plates using British and Iberian produce.
The 164-bedroom hotel is located within Battersea Roof Gardens, a new building designed by Foster and Partners, that forms a key part of the new Electric Boulevard, a collection of buildings comprising homes, offices and a new pedestrianised high street.
Interiors have been designed by Art’otel’s signature artist Jaime Hayon. The hotel’s artistic concept features original art displayed from Hayon, with interiors inspired by the Power Station’s history and heritage.
Art’otel London Battersea Power Station will be joined by Art’otel London Hoxton in early 2024.
