Rob Edwards and James Winters of Edwards Winters Developments have opened a new 32-room boutique hotel, The Phoenix Pods, on Vauxhall Road.
According to Edwards and Winters, the cost of the development was around £500k and offers “affordable luxury” for £36 a night to guests. The boutique hotel is also minutes from the city centre and waterfront.
The Phoenix Pods offer widescreen televisions and private shower facilities in each room, as well as a spacious communal area for large groups of guests.
In addition, all guests get free WiFi and access to a 24-hour reception.
The opening of The Phoenix Pods follows Edwards and Winters’ success in opening their first hotel, The Phoenix Hotel, in Kirkdale, which was developed from an abandoned 19th-Century building.
Winters said: “The ethos of The Phoenix Hotel is, and will always be, affordable luxury. The Phoenix Pods are no different. We provide guests the highest standard of accommodation while ensuring our prices remain honest and competitive inside the city centre.
“The Phoenix Pods are situated in an ideal location for all visitors to Liverpool; party-goers, football fans, business guests and those who want to experience our famous, world-renowned culture. We are also excited to host guests from across the world for Eurovision in 2023!”
He added: “You can reach all parts of the city centre on foot while having a luxury room to come home to with first-class service. We are proud to be adding to the heritage of Liverpool City Centre and providing our services to the millions of visitors each year.”
