The Langstone Hotel sold off guided price of £14.5m

The Langstone Hotel, on Hayling Island, near Portsmouth has been acquired by the Bansal family, the owners of the Lion Quays Hotel and Spa in Shropshire off a guided price of  £14.5m.

The sale of the property represents the final asset in BDL Select Hotels portfolio sold by real estate and investment management firm JLL. The portfolio comprised of six hotels (569 total bedrooms) located across the UK and were all sold on an individual basis.

Gavin Wright, director hotels and hospitality at JLL, who handled the sale, said: “We are thrilled to have completed the final disposal within the BDL Select Portfolio. The Langstone Hotel has an established leisure, conference, wedding and banqueting business and will be an excellent fit for the Bansal family.

“The sale of the portfolio demonstrates the continued high demand for both branded and unbranded regional hotels from domestic and overseas buyers.”
