Virgin Hotels Collection has announced the appointment of Tim Wyman as vice president of Development.
In his new role, Wyman will identify new business for the hotel group, including management and investment opportunities.
His appointment follows the recent formation of Virgin Hotels Collection, which brought together Virgin Hotels, Virgin Limited Edition and Virgin Residences into one parent company to accelerate the global footprint for Virgin Group’s hospitality business.
Wyman brings over 20 years of experience from the hospitality and real estate industries, most recently serving as vice president of Investments at hotel investment firm NewcrestImage. Here, he spearheaded the development of several upscale hotel projects and underwrote numerous investment and acquisition opportunities.
Prior to that, he served as regional vice president of Real Estate and Franchise Development at Choice Hotels International, where he was responsible for sourcing and underwriting real estate and mixed-use development opportunities in high-growth urban markets for the group’s upscale brands.
Prior to joining Choice Hotels, Wyman led the development of numerous hospitality projects as vice president of Real Estate at Gatehouse Capital.
CEO James Bermingham said: “Tim joins the Virgin family at a timely moment as we plot our ambitious growth strategy under the newly formed Virgin Hotels Collection. He brings a diverse skill set, extensive industry knowledge, and a proven track record that makes him an integral addition to the team, and we’re excited to see him take our brands to new heights.”
