Miskin Manor Hotel in Pontyclun, Wales, has been brought to market with a new lease for a guide price of £700k and an annual rent of £300k.
The property, which dates back to the 10th-Century and is itself a Grade II-listed manor, is set within 18-acres of Welsh countryside.
In 1985, the property was transformed into the hotel it is today and under the ownership of the Rosenberg family for the past 26 years, it has become one of South Wales’ premier hotels and wedding venues.
The hotel comprises 40 individually designed bedrooms and extensive conference and events facilities, as well as an “award-winning” restaurant and three helipads.
Richard Thomas, senior broker at Christie and Co, said: “This is a rare opportunity for a buyer to acquire the leasehold interest in a significant and famed country house hotel near Cardiff city centre, with excellent transport links.
“The hotel is also the first in South Wales to receive the ‘Green Key’ award for their efforts in sustainability, something dictating the spending habits of more and more customers.”
Amanda Rosenberg, managing director of the hotel, said: “We have been proud to develop Miskin Manor into what it is today and to have built and maintained one of South Wales’ most prominent hotels.
“It is now time for my father to enjoy a well-earned retirement and for me to start a new business chapter, whilst keeping the freehold of a building we have become very attached to within the family.”
