Most recently, Russell was resort director at Heythrop Park Resort, where he led teams to deliver “exceptional results across leisure, M&E and golf to increase profits by 150% during his time there”.

Prior to this, Russell managed properties both at group level and site level; resorts included The Oxford Hotel, The Berystede Hotel, Frimley Hall Hotel, Westerwood Hotel, Newton Hotel, Golf View Hotel and Royal Dornoch Hotel.

In his new role, Russell plans to implement strategic operational plans with a particular focus on growing revenue through corporate stays and M&E.

Russell, the new general manager, said: “I’m delighted to come on board with The QHotels Collection and champion a strategy which means we’re fully maximising the hotel’s exceptional facilities, fantastic team and great location to become one of the leading conference, events and leisure hotels in the UK.

“Our mission is to build on delivering an excellent experience to all our guests be it for business or leisure, and to showcase our wonderful Hampshire barn and 16th Century Manor House for private residential breaks, weddings and special occasions.”
