The experienced hospitality operators, Richard and Alison Stamper of Dorset Meadows Limited, have acquired holiday cottage complex Greenwood Grange in Dorset for an undisclosed amount.

Greenwood Grange, which is set in over 7.5 acres on the edge of Thorncombe Woods in Higher Bockhampton, is just 10 minutes’s drive from Dorchester and 15 minutes from the Jurassic Coast.

The complex comprises 16 stone-built cottages converted from former farm buildings, which are all named after characters and places from Thomas Hardy’s novels. The properties also feature an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, six hot tubs, two games rooms, two tennis courts, and a children’s play area.

Matthew Smith, partner at Knight Frank’s hotel agency, said: “Having launched Greenwood Grange holiday complex to the market in January, we’re delighted to announce the sale.

“Given the demand for self-catering businesses, we received considerable interest, successfully selling for in excess of the guide price, and wish the new owners Richard and Alison Stamper all the very best with their plans for a business that provides exciting growth opportunities.”
