Broomhill Estate in Devon brought to market for £2.75m

Broomhill Art Hotel is part of lot one and is available for £1.85m, commanding a prominent hillside position that extends to around 8.2 acres

The Broomhill Estate in Barnstaple, Devon, has been brought to market for an asking price of £2.75m.

The estate, which is known as the sanctuary for the arts in North Devon, is also available to purchase as three lots.

Lot one is available for £1.85m and includes Broomhill Art Hotel, which dates back to 1913 and commands a prominent hillside position that extends to around 8.2 acres, boasting spectacular views of the valley that also include the Sculpture Garden featuring more than 150 pieces of artwork.

The hotel provides seven large recently refurbished and individually designed ensuite bedrooms based on art-house films, as well as an artisan restaurant, terrace café and three lounges. 

There is also a commercial gallery which supports contemporary artists and a conference room. Other amenities include a treatment room and hydropool. Within the hotel, there is a two bedroom staff/managers accommodation with kitchen and two reception rooms. 

Meanwhile, lot two is available for £650k and extends to around 9.3 acres and includes Smithywood Cottage, which provides three bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge and dining areas in addition to Dutch barns and meadows. 

Lot three is available for £250k and comprises around 9.5 acres of meadowland which is located opposite to the sculpture garden.
