The Headland Hotel in Cornwall has announced a five-star pampering day for cancer patients to celebrate the launch of its inclusive spa experience.
The hotel will host 12 guests for a complimentary ‘Tea and Therapy Day’, in which they will enjoy the surroundings of The Aqua Club, an afternoon tea and a spa treatment.
This comes as the luxury hotel has partnered with Cornish company, Made For Life Organics, which champions healthy and wholesome living, and making choices that boost wellbeing.
In addition, therapists at the venue’s five-bubble spa have recently completed three days of training, enabling them to deliver new treatments on cancer patients and those suffering from other serious illnesses and conditions.
Since the start of June, The Headland Spa has been offering the ‘Made For Life Wellness Treatments’ to those who require an adapted approach to spa treatments.
The free session for the 12 patients is part of SpaFest Gives Back, a Made For Life initiative that aims for spas to support local communities.
Lindsay England, spa manager at The Headland, said: “We are delighted to be hosting SpaFest Gives Back here at The Headland, and for these 12 guests to sample the inclusive treatments we can now offer.
“The team has worked very hard to gain these qualifications and we are really looking forward to more clients being able to receive these treatments.”
The therapy is also suitable for people with conditions such as Long Covid, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and those suffering from stress, anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
