Rutland Hall Hotel and Spa has announced the appointment of Claire Hemphill as new director of revenue and operations, as the hotel aims to build on its reputation as a destination venue in the county and beyond.
Hemphill’s hospitality career began in food and beverage, and over the years she has excelled in various roles including reception, sales, conference and events, weddings, and revenue management.
In her new position, Hemphill will oversee profit management, develop selling strategies, streamline business processes, and provide systems management expertise.
With the resort hotel continuing with its ambitious growth plans, her appointment is a statement in enhancing its current revenue generation and operational efficiency.
Speaking on her new role, Hemphill said: “Right now is a great time to join the team as we embark on some really exciting growth plans across the resort following the extensive refurbishment. Working in the stunning environment along the shores of Rutland Water, I’m confident I can engage and build revenue culture across all teams.
“I aim to educate and empower team members to ensure they are commercially aware and can confidently make decisions that lead to a fluid customer journey. I have already implemented fun team incentives to inspire revenue capture on site and highlight the important link between customer service and revenue. I’m really looking forward to seeing Rutland Hall grow and to showcase its great potential within the industry.”
Managing director of Rutland Hall Hotel and Spa, Jo White, said: “We’re very excited to welcome Claire to the team. We’re already reaping the rewards of her wealth of industry knowledge and can’t wait to see where her guidance takes us from a revenue standpoint.
“This is another significant milestone for Rutland as we continue on our journey to become the destination venue in the local area and beyond for all things hospitality.”
